北京英联邦协会向中华慈善总会捐款20万元人民币用于抗击疫情

近日，北京英联邦协会向中华慈善总会捐赠了20万元人民币，用于向中国抗击当前冠状病毒疫情的武汉医院提供捐助。
中华慈善总会秘书长边志伟在捐赠仪式上说:“患难之交才是真朋友，北京英联邦协会是第一个通过我们的组织向武汉捐款的国际组织，他们的贡献和对中国的支持让我们非常感动。
尼日利亚驻中华人民共和国大使的夫人北京英联邦协会主席Zahra Jidda说：“当我在非洲听到疫情爆发，在北京的英联邦协会副主席那媛、活动负责人玛丽亚（Mariatu Kargbo）和前主席Silverina Toomata，他们都鼓励我及时赶回到中国来带领我们的团队给予中国人民帮助，因为我们是一家人。”
协会主席Zahra Jidda女士感谢北京英联邦协会所有成员为捐赠所作的贡献和支持，并鼓励世界各地的人们团结起来与病毒作斗争。她说：北京英联邦协会(CSB)相信中国控制疫情的努力一定将取得成功，并向在武汉的所有医护人员致以关爱和敬意。
在捐赠仪式的最后，这次活动的负责人黑珍珠玛丽亚(Mariatu Kargbo)和大家表演了一首名为《加油中国》的歌曲，向所有受病毒影响的人们表示支持，并祝愿中国经济快速复苏。这首歌的视频中，有非洲各国人和学校的学生们通过北京英联邦协会向中国人民表达了他们的支持。“中国加油，我们永远在一起，有困难我们一起度过……”，玛丽亚说：感谢北京英联邦协会的主席和副主席，我工作生活在中国，我就是一个黑皮肤的中国人，虽然我的能力有限，但是我会尽自己的所有能力去支持中国和帮助湖北武汉，因为我们是一家人，我坚信我们一定会战胜这场疫情。
北京英联邦协会（CSB）成立于1993年，是一个非营利性的慈善组织，由英联邦53个成员国驻华大使及外交官夫人组成，旨在帮助中国的贫困儿童和妇女，她们对帮助中国的贫困妇女、儿童和老年人充满热情。always smile!! 
COMMONWEALTH SOCIETY OF BEIJING DONATES RMB200,000 TO FIGHT AGAINST CORONAVIRUS

The Commonwealth Society of Beijing (CSB) has made a donation of RMB200,000 to the China Charity Federation (CCF) for distribution to the Wuhan hospitals at the centre of the fight against the current coronavirus outbreak in China.
Speaking at the donation ceremony, Secretary-General of the CCF Mr Bian Zhiwei said, “The CSB is the first international group to make a donation to Wuhan through our organization, so we are very touched by their contribution and their support for China at this time. A friend in need is a friend indeed”.
CSB President, Madame Zahra Jidda, the wife of the Nigerian Ambassador to the PRC, commented, “When I heard about the outbreak I was in Africa and I spoke with Madame Na Yuan, the Vice-President of our Society, Mariatu Kargbo, the Director, and former President Silverina Toomata in Beijing and they all encouraged me to return to China without delay to lead our efforts to give support to the Chinese people as they have always been there for us.”
Madame Jidda thanked all the members of CSB for their contributions and support to make the donation possible and encouraged people around the world to come together in the fight against the virus. She said that the CSB is confident that China’s efforts to control the outbreak will be successful and sent her love and respect to all the frontline medical staff in Wuhan.
At the end of the donation ceremony, Director Mariatu Kargbo and other artists performed a new song titled “Come on China!” to express their backing for all those affected and to wish China a speedy recovery. The video that accompanies the song features several African schools sending their support to the Chinese people through the CSB.
